PacStar Expands 451 Server Options
PacStar 451 Server Expansion: More Power, More Networking – Same Small SWaP
PacStar is excited to announce a major expansion in options available for the PacStar 451 Small Server Module. Expanding on the current line of PacStar 451 configurations, the PacStar 451 is now available with Intel 5th Generation (Broadwell) processors including the Core i5, i7 and Xeon E3 – with up to 32 GB RAM. Additionally three different User I/O configurations, including options with up to five GigE RJ-45 ports (two of which support PoE) are also now available.
These new options provide more processing power and more RAM, enabling even more application or virtualized networking capabilities in the field, in the same compact form factor as all other PacStar 400-Series modules. With five GigE ports, the new PacStar 451 is an optimal platform for hosting in-theater virtualized network functions including routing/switching, WAN optimization, call/session control, firewalls, IPSec VPN, or any type of application hosting.
The physical package utilizes the PacStar 400-Series standard module footprint and offers the best in small size, flexible power and proven environmental ruggedness. Additionally, PacStar offers a wide array of system packaging options for the PacStar 400-Series, including brief-case style, transit case-style, and backpack-style transport options.
Designed for in-theater communications, executive communications, vehicle-mount, entry or forward operating base deployments for military, Homeland Security, first responders, and commercial/enterprise users, the PacStar 451 servers meet size, weight, and power requirements unmatched by other COTS appliances.
