PacStar Appoints New CEO Bob Dunn returned to PacStar earlier this year and has now been named the company’s chief executive officer.
PacStar today announced that its board of directors has named Bob Dunn as the company’s chief executive officer effective immediately. Dunn, 45, was promoted from his position as senior vice president of business development and strategy which he assumed earlier this year.
Prior to rejoining PacStar, Dunn served as senior vice president, sales and marketing at Ericsson Federal Inc. (EFI) where he directed all business development efforts across U.S. federal, state and local government agencies. Previously, he was president of product solutions at Nortel Government Solutions George Stroemple, PacStar’s chairman, said, “PacStar’s board unanimously selected Bob based on his track record of building successful teams, as well as his strong executive and personal qualities. Our search for a new leader led us back to Bob Dunn, who before he joined EFI had served as PacStar’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. He has the respect of the entire management team and the talented employees here at PacStar.”

Dunn will remain located in the DC area where he will focus his efforts on expanding the company’s product penetration throughout the Department of Defense and federal agencies involved in disaster response and mobile communications.
